Menlo Park Modern Shingle

Expanding Dumican Mosey’s typical visual language by drawing on the spirit of American Shingle Style architecture and bringing it into conversation with contemporary Dutch architecture, this project aims to be a good and vibrant neighbor in the architecturally established area of Menlo Park, California. Featuring traditional elements like a wrap-around porch, bay window, and gabled roof, each reinterpreted and loosened through our elastic modernist lens that invites expansive glass openings, a free-flowing interior plan, and strong visual and physical connections to the outdoors.
